Backup & Restore
The Backup & Restore settings page controls cloud backup and restore of your save files. Cloud backup is a premium feature — available only to users with an active ad-removal subscription.

What you see
The page shows different content depending on your subscription status:
- No active subscription — an explanation of the cloud backup feature and a button to open the in-app purchase flow.
- Active subscription — the Backup and Restore buttons plus the subscription expiration date.
Subscribing
Tap the subscription button (when shown) to open the standard Google Play in-app purchase flow for ad removal. Once purchase completes, the buttons enable on this screen.
Backup
With an active subscription, Backup uploads your current save files (states + in-cartridge saves) to the cloud. The status updates while the transfer runs and confirms when finished.
Restore
With an active subscription, Restore pulls down the most recent backup from the cloud and replaces local save files. Use this when moving to a new device or recovering after an uninstall/reinstall.
Restore overwrites local saves. If your current local saves are newer than the cloud copy, back up first before restoring.
Subscription expiration
When the ad-removal subscription expires:
- Existing cloud backups remain on the server.
- New backups and restores require re-subscribing.
- Local saves on the device are unaffected.
Privacy
The cloud backup ties to your in-app account (created during the purchase flow). Only save files are uploaded — no ROMs, no device identifiers beyond what's needed to associate the backup with your subscription.
For full details on what's backed up and how to restore on a new device, see Cloud Backup.
