Explore

The Explore tab lets you walk the catalog by system, with chip filters for category, language, and sort order. Results stream into an infinite-scroll grid.

TODO: Explore tab with console tabs and filter chips

How to browse

  1. Pick a system from the top tab row (DOS, DOSBOX, ARCADE, NES, SNES, MAME, …).
  2. Optionally tap chip filters:
    • Category — Action, Puzzle, RPG, Sports, etc. The categories shown depend on the system you picked.
    • Language — filter by the ROM's release language (English, Japanese, Korean, …).
    • Sort — popularity, alphabetical, recently added, etc.
  3. Scroll down to load more games automatically.
  4. Tap a card to open its Game Detail page.

Clearing filters

If you've stacked several filters and want a clean slate, tap the clear filters icon (broom or refresh) in the chip area. The view returns to the default sort for the selected system.

List view vs grid view

There's a view-mode toggle in the top bar. You can switch between:

  • Grid — cover art forward, good for visual browsing
  • List — compact rows, good for scrolling many titles fast

Your choice is remembered across sessions.

What systems appear here?

All systems supported by DOSGamePlayer have a tab in Explore. For the full list (35+ systems) with their emulator cores, see Supported Consoles.

  • Search — find a specific title fast
  • Discover — curated lists when you don't know what you want
  • Collection — narrow to games you've already touched
