Search

When you know what you're looking for, the Search tab is the fastest way to get there.

TODO: Search tab with text input and filter button

Type any part of a game's name into the search box. Results refresh as you type. Matches can include the localized name, alternate names, and abbreviated titles.

Filters

Tap the filter icon to add structured filters on top of the text search:

  • Genre — Action, Adventure, Fighting, Puzzle, Racing, RPG, Shooter, Sports, Strategy, …
  • Manufacturer — original publisher / developer (e.g. Capcom, Konami, SNK)
  • Year — release year, single value or range

Multiple filters combine with AND. Clearing the search box keeps the filters in place; clear filters separately if needed.

Result cards

Each result shows the cover, title, and the system it belongs to. Tap to open the Game Detail page.

Opening Search with a preset filter

Some places in the app open Search with a filter already applied. For example, from a Game Detail page you can tap a genre link and land on Search filtered to that genre. This is the same screen — just with the chip pre-selected.

Tips

  • Search is case-insensitive.
  • If a search returns nothing, double-check the system. Some titles exist on multiple systems (e.g., "Street Fighter II" on Arcade vs. SNES) and may use slightly different naming.
  • For Japanese-only releases, try the English transliteration first; if it doesn't match, switch the Language filter in Explore to Japanese.
  • Discover — for unguided browsing
  • Explore — for system-specific browsing
